AVALANCHE^®SI 2 is a 1 EMG channel monitor with dedicated software for thyroid surgery and for the continuous monitoring of the vagus nerve; it is a compact and portable device. It has a large 15" touchscreen color display, which allows direct entry of patient data, programming parameters and documentation. There also are audible and/or visual alarms for example in the case of loose ends.

This intraoperative neuromonitoring equipment has a database for archiving which can contain several thousands of patients, and available at any time. The case of interest can be easily retrieved, viewed and exported as a PDF report via USB stick.

AVALANCHE^®SI 2 with dedicated software for thyroid surgery offers the possibility to save events before and after surgical resection directly from the screen that appears on the display and the possibility to create dedicated reports. Thanks to the Auto-Mute function, you can turn on the sound only in the presence of electrical stimulation by the operator (optimal condition during thyroid surgery).

AVALANCHE^®SI 2 with software for continuous monitoring of the vagus nerve allows for the continuous monitoring of the nerve by applying a bipolar electrode on the vagus nerve itself. This feature provides the surgeon to be warned acoustically in case of any significant change in the base line, predetermined prior to resection, without the need to observe the display. They are in fact visual and audible alarms in case of nerve pain. The base line is automatically determined by simply pressing a button on the screen, at the time of positioning of the electrode for continuous stimulation of the vagus.

This intraoperative neuromonitoring equipment automatically analyzes and displays both latency and amplitude of action potentials. It also automatically stores all the signals generated as stimulation response.

The pacing current of our intraoperative neuromonitoring supplies is variable in a range from 0.1 mA to 10 mA and it is limited to this value to prevent damage of the nerve.

AVALANCHE^®SI 2 also has an "Auto-Mute" function for feedback of sounds, so that the sound is active only during electrical stimulation. The system can 'be easily upgraded at any time, even remotely.
